We used DWS over a decade ago for an inventory reduction sale and after that experience there was no question we would also choose them to conduct our Going Out of Business Sale. The first week of our sale we had the largest recorded snow storm in our history. We had to close the store for a period of time because the roads were impassable. It was also held during the second worst economy of our time. With what looked like overwhelming obstacles for the success of our sale, our consultant, still did an amazing job liquidating our inventory. The DWS consultant did a terrific job for me. Incredibly, we did more business the first day than I had done in 9 of the 12 months the previous year, and at a great markup. The rest of the sale was equally impressive and we actually finished a week earlier than we had planned. Their consultant did a particularly good job with my fixtures. I was concerned that we would have trouble getting fair value for fixtures and may be left with some to deal with after the sale, but they did a great job. They completely took over the job of pricing and selling fixtures, office equipment and furniture, and every other miscellaneous item that could be sold. My employees commented on how pleasant they were and easy to work with in all aspects of the sale.

ALABAMA

We were a 10,000 sq. ft. store and experienced over $42,000 the first day of liquidation! We had recovered 49% of our inventory by the end of the first week at only a 13% discount. Overall, we recovered 109% of our inventory by the end of the sale and closed our doors a week ahead of schedule. In addition, we sold all or our fixtures and equipment except the cash registers and grossed over $39,000, which was over 200% of their book value. So little was left it took only a day to clean up and vacate the building.

In general, I would confirm all that I heard or read in other testimonials about DWS. They have the experience to carry off a liquidation with the best results possible. Key elements of their program I feel involve the program itself and the on-site consultant who arrived a week before the sale started and stayed through the last day. So well developed is their program that I truthfully can think of very few things that could have improved our results.
